Another '60's film that I never knew about released Nov.1
by Paramount. An interesting crime drama starring David Janssen as a LAPD sergeant who fights what is perceived as a case for manslaughter when he shoots and kills a respected doctor in self defense when same draws a gun - except the weapon is nowhere to be found.
A good movie overall with a Jerry Goldsmith score and a well rounded cast - even if most of them only have a short supporting role - Ed Begley, Lillian Gish , Keenan Wynn, Eleanor Parker, George Saunders, Stefanie Powers, Steve Allen,
Carroll O'Conner, Joan Collins and Walter Pidgeon among others.
The OAR appears to be 1:85 and overall the picture and sound (Mono) were very good. Nice to see Paramount bring out some lesser known titles. Year of production was 1966. Some good shots of '60's LA. Definitely worth a look.
