True Romance (1993) Arrow Region 'B' (1 Viewer)

If anyone was hoping that this week's Arrow release of True Romance would be an improvement on the US Warner and Sony blu-rays, then I can dash their hopes. It looks like the same old master, just boosted. Silk purse - sow's ear etc. Avoid.

I just came upon this, sad to see no progress with True Romance.

For an overview of the sorry state of affairs with regard to True Romance on Blu-ray, this gives a good idea of the available versions, I would expect the Arrow version to be closer to the studio canal release:

If the Warner disc wasn't so smoothed over it would probably still look the best but with the way it is now all versions are unsatisfactory. At least they are at least a lot better than the DVD!
