Hello, and welcome to the "Super Big Cool" Tournament

DISCLAIMER: The owner, operator, and author of this thread feels strongly that fun is to be had within the day-to-day process of the tournament activity located within this thread. HOWEVER, said person makes no guarantees on any fun level, or that any actual fun (or even mild amusement) will be obtained by any participants.

This will be the tournament to decide just what is the actual "coolest" thing ever. And to clarify "thing," let me just say that the possibilities are open to your imagination. Should you feel that a person is the coolest thing ever, then by all means put them in the tournament. Or perhaps you feel an action or experience is the coolest thing ever. It's all up to you. Once our field of coolness is set, I shall randomly assign our "coolers" against one another. You know, the normal tourney stuff.

This shall prove to be most pointless, but it should be interesting to see just what we (as a collective) here at the HTF consider to be the coolest thing ever.

When the voting process begins, it will be up to you to decide what criteria to use when voting.

For right now, everyone gets two (2) automatics into the cool tournament. After a few days (or when I feel like it....it is my tourney after all) I may assign more to the interested. I do reserve the right to add the final entries (if needed) to finalize our field.

SUPER COOL BONUS

A special prize will be awarded to the person whose cool pick goes on and wins the whole thing. And just what is the prize you ask, well it's quite possibly something that could be in this tournament: A Pooping Gorilla Keychain......just the like the one pictured below.

This awesome Pooping beast is brand new, and still in his original plastic covering thingy. He will be mailed (with loving care) to the winner's door at no cost to the winner.

So without further ado, let us begin.

The Coolers

1. Giving a nerdy kid a giant wedgie so hard, it actually makes him cry. (No offense to those who have suffered this horrible atrocity, as I am one of you)

Auto-picks

1. Thornton Melon's Triple Lindy dive

2. Mad Max's Black Interceptor

Thing I won't nominate (children shouldn't read this)
I know this guy who knew this guy who got the following birthday gift: his girlfriend let him do her doggie-style while watching the Super Bowl with a pizza resting on her back. I think there was beer perched somewhere, but I don't remember that detail.

Let me just say thanks for all the responses thus far. I'm glad we got some "real" entries besides my silliness. It should make for a more entertaining tournament.

I must say my favorite 2 so far have to be:

1. Bruce Campbell- To any who have yet to give Bubba Ho-Tep a view, I highly recommend you waste no more time. An awesome little fun movie, with an outstanding performance by Bruce.

2. Sunshine, green grass, a hot dog and a beer on opening day- This is indeed one of the coolest things ever. I'm glad I'm not the only one who regards opening day as important as any holiday of the year.

I'll give this puppy a little more time, and then open it up for nominations. I knew the pooping gorilla would bring you in.:)

Having your favorite movie finally released on dvd after years of waiting, and it's OAR-only!

A beautiful woman who marries you even though you're rather fugly (it did take me years and years to find her. :))

I find this suspicious - methinks Henry knows the true value of pooping gorilla keychains... :D

I've taken the day off for the last five years or so. I still have yet to go to an actual opening day game.....They always sell out within about 30 minutes (I believe it was 18 min. this year) and I don't have lots of spare cash to pay the high dollars for a ticket. But I head down to our local jive and watch the game on a big screen and enjoy a beer. It's become a big enough tradition in the last few years that the place is usually full now that afternoon. When I first started, I think there were only like 3 or 4 of us there to watch the game. Pretty cool.

Welcome back Henry, and just remember this is all in fun. Nice picks.

My votes for "cool":

1. Samuel L. Jackson - I can back this one up personally, because I met him in 1996 at the world premiere of "A Time to Kill", and he was decked out from head to toe in a bright yellow suit with a yellow beret. Friendly, personable with all the fans, and he's got a beautiful wife as well.

2. Boobs - The proof for this can be found in this thread.

Another nominee for the "cool" list:

Rob Van Dam.
