The Finder, a delightful procedural series that spelled Bones during one of its hiatus periods, is a show that has mostly been forgotten, and that's a shame. It has charismatic leads and droll, witty adventures with its unpredictable and quirky leading character (played by Geoff Stults) who claims to be able to find anything.
I don't understand why the show never quite caught on. With its beautiful Florida locations and unusual plots, it should have been a hit, but it wasn't. (Was it actually filmed in Florida or did they, like Bones, simply get some location footage to thread into the production filmed in Hollywood?)
Since the show is going off Netflix at the end of this month, I've been revisiting it again and enjoying it to pieces. How sad that it's not available on Blu-ray.
I think Michael Clarke Duncan, who played the lead's lawyer/best friend, died shortly after the production of this first season wrapped, but I don't think that had anything to do with the show not being picked up for another run of episodes. It just didn't garner the ratings that Fox expected for it.
