This a true must-have for classic film lovers, in my opinion!
Dieterle is one of my all-time favourite filmmakers.
Man, I love Criterion!

Will this be the 109 min. composite from the 16 mm print and the 35 mm fine grain print of the 84 min cut or just the shorter cut with the butchered score?
Ostensibly, among the sources Criterion will procure for the future SE is a beautiful, complete 35mm fine-grain master which was unearthed at the estate of William Dieterle a few years ago; sporting several minutes of footage (as well as the original title card Here is a Man) which hasn't been seen since the 1941 preview screening.

Edit: It seems our Mr. Michael is champing at the bit for this one.
Cool, I didn't know a complete 35 mm master of the original cut still existed. I remember the being excited back in the early 90's when a 16 mm print of the original cut had been located.
