I'd pay good money to see Moonpussy....

Speaking of fun, the Bond 23 thread just shit the bed. Oh how I pine for the old HTF days! :P

Reading about the new Bond, meh. I liked Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, but I don't really need anymore personal issue stories. The only personal issues I want to see with M is him abusing his position and sending bond to his private club to see if a dude is cheating at bridge since the suspected guy is also heading up a new national defense program... ;)

You know more about the new film than I do Russ, I just saw Javier Bardem sitting next to Naomie Harris sitting next to Daniel Craig at a press conference for the new Bond film Skypussy.

I saw that James Bond thread, Richard has failed to lighten up or make friends in all these years on the forum. Pompous twit. ;)

I don't know much about it. Some nonsense about something from M's past coming up to bite her and Bond having to sort it out. Why anyone would give a crap about M I have no idea. Guess you have to justify Dench's salary someway.

Me and my girls: Daniel Craig, aka James Bond, poses with his two new leading ladies Bérénice Marlohe and Naomie Harris at a press conference for the new 007 film today

Excited: Marlohe said she enjoyed firing a gun for the first time for her new role while Harris said she spent two months training to play a field agent

Apparently the training included running up stairs. That's time wasted on what could of been spent on pillow fighting...

I've heard of Naomie Harris but the other girl is new to me. Javier Bardem as the villain. He won an Oscar for playing a villain a few years ago.

Is that Daniel Craig's dad in the picture with them? It's only been 5 years since Casino Royale, what happened?

Maybe Craig is going for Peter O'Tooles mummy look?

I'd rather see mature people then young tweens with their plucked eyebrows in a bond film. You know Hollywood is itching to do a Bond Jr. movie or some such shite.

Just saw that the mighty Ben-Hur is getting a one night showing in a state of the art theater here in town next week. It would be amazing to see on the big screen, but I've JUST seen in a couple weeks ago on Blu. I'm really torn! DAMN IT!

It would be nice to see Ben-Hur on a really big screen, I've seen the blu-ray twice already, once with the music only track on.

Last time I saw it at the cinema was one of the re-releases in the 1970's.

Is that Daniel Craig again in the photo with Stephen Boyd and Haya Harareet? He really has aged since Casino Royale.

I hope Rick is OK (see what I did there). I felt that earthquake here.

Whatever did happen to Rick? Is he still around? No earthquakes here but we did have fireworks, it was Guy Fawkes Day yesterday.

Currently watching Dean Martin as Matt Helm in The Ambushers, forgettable 60's spy fluff but it's colorful and the girls are in bikinis and mini skirts and well thats what its all about innit? :)

Hey guys, alive and well. Been reading much more than posting.
I heard you guys in TX felt it Chris. Also read they felt it as far north as Wisconsin!
I have been lucky enough to sleep through all the quakes!
Last year we had one, and it felt like a semi truck was driving though the doctors office i work in. Everything shifted to the right, and then to the left again. But this time i was blissfuly unaware.
Tulsa is probably close to 100 miles from the epicenter, and i guess my wife and i were the only ones to sleep through it.
I am chalking it up to the impending Zombie apocalypse!
I have Hanna to watch tonight.
Watched Capt. America last weekend. It was OK 3 out of 5. Loved the period look, and the love interest was fine too.

Ah yes, The Ambushers...
Loved the opening credits with all of the 60's hair and fashions on the ladies.
I still remember the epiphany of "getting" the rigid belt sight gag for the first time after having that joke go over my head during my initial viewings when I was still (relatively) innocent. :)
Might have to dig out the DVD and give this title a spin.
- Walter.

I saw Anonymous yesterday. Pretty good, although it would have helped to know a little more English history. Rhys Ifans was terrific and didn't even look like himself. I wouldn't be surprised to see Vanessa Redgrave get a supporting actress Oscar nom. Kudos to Roland Emmerich for tackling an entirely different type of movie for him.

Yay Rick is all right and Liz is watching high brow films, all is good in Testy land! :P

I've been watching Laurel and Hardy shorts from that recent boxset. Each one has more laughs then "Bridesmaids" had in it's hours of running time. Ridiculous!

This is a fun link... MOVIE POSTER TRENDS!

I can't speak for all the films, but Ms.45 is pretty great early Abel Ferra. :)

Hey Russ, good find I love movie posters and thats pretty cool. I've bookmarked the page to study it further later.

So how was My Fair Lady on blu-ray? Mike have you deciphered RAH's review yet? Is it worth buying? I'm asking because I watched a fantastic HDTV copy of the film at the weekend, it looked crystal clear vivid colours very little grain and it ended with the words 'Restoration by Robert A. Harris.'

I want to see the movie version of "Free The Women Of Love Captive Stalag"! It looks like a nice place actually, artistic what with the body painting. Better then those evil Nazi love camps with the guinea pigs painted to look like rats... :P

I'm going to guess that no amount of restorative power is going to make "My Fair Lady" interesting or pleasant to watch. I didn't like it. though I might be confusing it with Gigi...
