subwoofer impedence question? (1 Viewer)

While looking into my first subwoofer construction I'm noticing most of the woofers are rated at 4 ohms, but all my the speakers are rated at 8 ohms. Does this matter since the subwoofer amp is independent of the receiver?

It's fine as long as your sub amp can drive 4 ohms.

I know this is newbie, but I looking at the AVA250 sub-amp and I can't seem to figure out where the RCA from my receiving plugs in to the amp. Which RCA port?

Its a bit hard to see on my monitor but it looks like theres a pair or L&R IN and a pair of L&R OUTs in the top right corner. Plug the sub connector into either of the IN jacks.
