I have a problem that needs solving. My father-in-law owns the Bose Lifestyle 35 Entertainment system, a Samsung DLP television and an RCA HD Decoder/Satelite Receiver. He would like to control everything with one remote but the Bose system uses an RF remote to control the audio and the DVD player. The others obviously use IR remotes. I find programming the Bose Lifestyle remote to be a pain and it is missing many features that I could normally get from top of the line IR remotes (like Macros). Any suggestions out there on this matter?

For a number of reasons (mainly due to FCC regs), there are no universal RF remotes. However, the Lifestyle 35 can be set to receive IR (it's in the setup menu - I don't remember where, check the manual) so it can be used with any universal remote.
