Recommendations on a HT speaker setup... (1 Viewer)

Hey all...

My friend is about to join the DD 5.1 age & he needs to upgrade his speaker system...badly. With his room constraints,he doesn't need anything big.

Right now he is looking at the Cerwin-Vega AVS-632.

That is around the $300 price range. What do you guys think? Is there something else he should check out??

Ive always been a fan of CerwinVega, butdepending on your budget you should check out the Energy Take5.2 system.

A lot of people like the Swan Diva's or Home Theater Direct speakers. Both are internet only sales, but they have a good return policy.
Remember that it is important to get all the speakers to tone-match for movies. You can get away with different rear speakers, but the front 3 should all be from the same line and company.
