I only saw "Ragtime" once when it was released and fell in love with it. Whoever owns the rights please release it if only as a salute to Jimmy Cagney's last feature film appearance.

Yes, as far as I know, Paramount still have the rights to Ragtime, and it's certainly one of my most-wanted Paramount titles. If Martin Blythe does another poll later this year for requested 2003 DVD titles, it will definitely be in my top five choices.

I, too, am anxious to see this as a DVD. It was one of Paramount's last widescreen laser disc remasters and looked pretty gorgeous for that format. I'd love to see this appear with an isolated Randy Newman score (since the soundtrack is long out of print) and perhaps a commentary from Forman and cast members. Terrific movie.
