I've got some work to do, I have only seen 4 of the BP noms (1917, Joker, Once..., FvF).
I guess I need to go suffer through Little Women, it's just not a story I really enjoy. I need to watch MS on Netflix, almost did the other night but changed my mind. I started The Irishman when it first showed up on Netflix but fell asleep and haven't revisited it yet. I don't think Parasite has ever played at my local AMC. I'm pissed at how my AMC treated Jojo Rabbit. It was only here for 2 weeks, the first week it didn't have a showtime past 5:30pm, the second week nothing past 3pm. With work and my family, I just couldn't make it to a movie that early in the day. I really wanted to see it though.
Once again, I don't see eye to eye with the Academy when it comes to original score but, I don't really expect to these days. I have nothing against LW and MS, just not what I would have voted for based on the albums. I do not like the score to Joker. 1917 and TROS are on my list of 5 best scores of 2019.
These would have been my picks for best score (in order of preference):
Nathan Johnson - Knives Out
John Williams - Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
Thomas Newman - 1917
Joe Kraemer - The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot
Michael Giacchino - Jojo Rabbit
Honorable mention to Tom Holkenborg - Alita: Battle Angel
Hustlers was okay and J-Lo was fine but, I'm not sure anything about that movie is Oscar worthy.
I haven't seen The Irishman so, I have no opinion on DeNiro.
Don't get the Sandler love. I did not like Uncut Gems. Sandler basically just screamed at the camera for 2 hours in his traditional Adam Sandler angry voice.
Bale was really good in FvF but, I don't feel he was snubbed.
Please, about Beyonce. So tired of her fans who think everything she does is the GOAT. That was a forgettable song in a forgettable cash grab remake.

There’s a list of snubs at another site that mentions Jennifer Lopez- some think she got overlooked for an Oscar nomination for her performance in Hustlers.
Others mentioned-
DeNiro for his role in The Irishman (he is nominated as a producer)
Sandler
Bale (Ford V Ferrari)
Beyonce (best song in The Lion King)
