These two puppies have been my faithfull stereo companions for over 10 years. Finally, it's time to get my television involved and I am shopping home theater. Is it worth incorporating these speakers in my new setup? Would they function well as surrounds? I assume this would lock me into Polk, so any suggestions for front speakers? Have mercy, I'm a newbie. Thanks

Don't know the Polks you mention, but rule of thumb is that you should have the three front speakers (R,L, and Center) of the same brand/family so that the timbre matches and you get smooth paning between them.

Surrounds are a different story, some folks have different brand surrounds, some folks like sameness, your mileage may vary.

I'd get the three fronts and try out the Polks as surrounds. If you don't like the how the surrounds sound then get new ones the same brand as the fronts.
