Morrowind-Big problem (1 Viewer)

Ok, so I've been playing Morrowind for a few hours now, and I think I screwed up big time. At the very beginning, you get a package that you have to deliver, but when I went to deliver it, no package. My first savegame is still missing the package, and when I talk to the guy he says I have it. I checked around on the ground everywhere, and don't think that I inadvertently dropped it. I think that I did get caught for stealing once-is it possible that there's a bug that considers the package to be stolen goods? Is there any way to get it back at this point?

Have you tried talking to the oficer that gives you the package? He is in the house right past the older officer who helps with the character creation. Try talking to him again and see what he says. He may give you the package again.

I think you better just restart and get that package quest done ASAP.
