Mitsubishi rear projection problems (1 Viewer)

I have a 5-6 year old 44" rear projection screen and recently the black has changed to a Sea Green and the picture looks as if it's coming through about one foot of fog. Also, in the last couple of days, I have noticed small white pin-stripes going in a horizontal arc across the screen during TV, video, and DVD playback. Has anyone heard of this? Is the TV wearing out? Can it be a cone going bad? Can that be replaced cheaper than a new TV?

Hard to say what that particular problem will come down to.
I don't think it is a problem your going to be able to diagnose yourself, let alone resolve.

Problem is that it is old enough, to where the repair may just not be ecconomical, as there are 44"'rs in the sub $1k price range now.
