Had a system crash, and when I brought it back up everything was normal except for the fact that all my bookmarks were gone. This is not a huge catastrophe, but I did have some interesting stuff bookmarked that I would like to get back. Is there any way to recover my bookmarks?

Kyle

P.S.: I am running the newest version of Firefox, could this be the problem?

there is a backup, assuming it is the normal problem people have with losing their firefox profile. if you are running windows, it should be in c:program filesmozilla firefox and somewhere in there. if you do a search for *.html within that folder, you should see your backup, and a new bookmarks file, if you created a new profile.

The user profile id (6713rnlp in my case) seems random; yours is likely different.

In here should be HTML files with your bookmarks from recent dates.

Now import them from Firefox: Select Bookmarks->Manage Bookmarks to bring up the manager. Then File->Import. Choose From File, navigate to your most recent bookmarks file and import it. Verify you've got all. If it's corrupted, organizational folders bookmarks may be missing. Importing from an older backup can help fix that, and I don't think it creates duplicates.
