Info Wanted on Yamaha DVD Players (1 Viewer)

A friend of mine wants to know which models of Yamaha DVD players you would reccomend & what do you think of them?
He wants to stay with Yamaha because that's what most of his other things are. He doesn't have an HDTV set but he will probably get one in the future but not until the prices come down on them. Also who makes Yamaha DVD players? Thanks ahead of time.

Most Yamaha players are OEM Panasonic products. If you have a Yamaha receiver/amplifier they are a good cosmetic match, but the Panasonic players offer virtually identical performance for less.
