I'm thinking about buying my sister a DVD player for her birthday. I'm probably only going to be able to spend up to 225 bucks on it, but I want the player to be at least decent. Does anyone have any thoughts on any DVD players in that price range? Somewhere between 150 - 225. Any help would be much appreciated.

i own the sony 560d. i think it goes for about 200 now. i like the machine a lot. sony's typically get really good ratings for their video. this machine may have a couple of features you don't need, specifically the 5.1 output. if you don't think your sister will need that, you can probably pick up the model below for even less.
i would definitely put sony on your list though.
