Very impressive, the simplicity of it all is very pleasing and I wouldn’t mind dropping over if you only lived down the road from me. I like the lighting in the ceiling very chic.

    Couple quick questions.

Did you fill your stage with sand or insulation?

I am going to make a stage and it seems people fill it in with something.

Also, what is the name of your paint on the walls. That color is great and seems like it would work awesome for a HT.

Great job, again Paul. I hope my HT comes out 1/2 as nice as yours!

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. The front stage is filled with sand, also the colours used are in the taubmans www.603010.com.au 'urban stone' range, the ceiling is 'mojo' flat black, the walls are 'apium', the side pillars are 'urban ease'.

Very well done, Paul. I, too, like the colors and simplicity. Now, like I tell everyone when they finish their theater, make sure you take time to sit back and enjoy it!!!

Very Nice. Can you tell me how you constructed the panels on the wall and if the panels are effective. Fantastic Job!!

Wow! That is such an awesome looking room to enjoy movies in. I just mentioned to the Mrs that the next time we move house we need to ensure theres enough room to build a dedicated HT room but she wasn't keen. I then mentioned that if we were to do that she'd be able to put a TV back in the living room (where the new HT currently is) and BITE! LOL.

So, sorry to ask Newb questions, but what are those panels FOR exactly? Not just looks?

    Cheers

Hi, thanks for the comments, as for the panels they are acoustic foam covered in material, the purpose is to 'deaden' the room somewhat, otherwise a room with just plasterboard walls would be to live and sound harsh. The foam panels absorb & diffuse the sound so the room sounds alot better. Hope that helps.

That's absolutely beautiful! I'm in the planning stage right now ...
Could you tell me what the dimensions are of your room? How far back is your seating from the screen? Your ceiling height? And lastly, your back row riser height?

Sorry for so many questions, but I'm gathering as much info as I can! [IMG]

Thanks for the comments, the room is 6.3m long, 3.7m wide and standard 2.4m height. The back row riser is 300mm high, the first row of seats are about 4.5m from the screen. Cheers,

    Paul

    Paul,

Great room! So clean and sleek.

If you don't mind, what color did you use for your walls? It's a great compliment to your furniture.

Thanks, the colour is 'apium' on the Taubmans range. Go to www.603010.com.au and it's in the urban stone range.
