A quick question I'm sure has been answerd before (but didn't turn up in a search :) )

Anyone know how to adjust the crossover on the AVR225 to 80 Hz? Maybe it doesn't have this option and putting speakers on small works, and can only go as far as 100 Hz?

Thanks

RichST,

I believe (according to the AVR225 manual) that the crossover is fixed at 100Hz and is not adjustable. It is adjustable on the AVR325 & AVR525 models and the newer AVRx30 series.

Bummer. Will I notice a difference with my (NSP1II/Dayton "10) setup had I been able to adjust it to 80 Hz? (Am I missing out?)

Thanks

The price you pay is that as you go higher, the sub starts to become more point source.

There are plenty of HT setups where 100hz would be the best setting, so I think you will be ok.

That would be a point in the Onkyo favor in lower cost AV receiver products for sure.
