I am confused. If I have the Panasonic PT-AE900U projector 13 feet back, what size screen can I have? I used the calculator but it doesn't seem right compared to other projects like the Sanyo Z4.
Also what does throw zoom mean?

Thank you! Scott

I quickly scanned through the manual, and the forumula to calculate the through distance is

This formula is when using meters as the base unit of measure.

Minimum Projector distance = LW=1.2244xSD-0.056
Maximum Projector distance = LT=2.4449xSD-0.056

LW (Wide)is not Zoomed
LT (Telephoto) is not zoomed

Use a conversion table like this one:

feet to meters

Since you are working backwords just re-arrange the forumula

(LW+0.056)/1.2244=SD
(LT+0.056)/2.4449=SD

Max Screen Size = (3.96meters+0.056)/1.2244 = 3.2799 meters = 129.129"
Min Screen Size = 1.6426meters = 64"

So at 13' you can project an image anywhere from 64" to 129.129". To make sure, I would test just to make sure.

Personally, I try to use as little zoom as possible.
