Image's May DVD release is a filming of a recent Broadway revival of Kiss Me Kate

I *wish* it was the recent Broadway revival; it's actually the revival from the West End from last year (with a comparatively inferior cast)

Irving Berlin became quite a cranky oddball in his
declining years, and declined release rights
on lots of things...from the song "always", in Spielberg's
film...to mgm's ANNIE GET YOUR GUN,
and (except for an "SFM Holiday Network" syndicated showing
.. i still have the vhs),CALL ME MADAM (fox).

Anyone have any more details on this?
He was a recluse when he started doing
this with his songs/shows...the guy lived to be 100-and-something,
and i don't think he was in a great mood.
