The first five or ten minutes of Master & Commander work out all five speakers pretty well on my system.....the sub works out the house.

Saving Private Ryan opening D-Day scene. Love the bullets flying over my head sound.
Fast and the Furious, cuss I'm into cars and love the sound of the charger firing up its engine.
U-571, depth charge scene to test out my HSU VTF-3, killer bass in that scene.

As for some additional background... In a really outrageous "outdoor home theater" I recently set up, we basically had stadium concert capabilities at about 20-40' from the screen down to 21-23Hz. With the sub a little hot and shelved up down to 35Hz, and the mains properly calibrated, I caught myself cranking up the scenes from both Blue Crush and Open Range to as high as -5dB!!! [IMG]

Fortunately the system had the headroom to deliver this without distress or overloading.

    Fun stuff!

the best i've heard for working ALL speakers is Blade 2.

another favorite is the "unleash hell" scene from Gladiator.

    best,

    eric
