So Nintendo announced they will showcase their next gen console for next year's E3.

But MS said they will definitely release Xbox 2 before Sony's next generation system. hmmmm

If I had to guess, I'd say that the Xbox 2 will debut in North America at the same time the Ps3 debuts in Japan (since we know that Sony woundn't do something crazy like a worldwide launch).

Still, if all of this is true, perhaps MS will have their own launch event early?

Rumor has it that they will announce (showcase) the Xbox2 at an event that is before E3. I am blanking on the name, but it is in Europe I believe. Of course, it will show up at E3 as well. Should be interesting to see what becomes of the next gen.
