Decent sub please suggest. (1 Viewer)

Need a decent subwoofer for about $300. Don't want to go over the $300 mark really. Please suggest anything you can think of. It will be a small room, 12' x 12' that it will be put in and the MAIN use will be with movies, so I want something that will hit HARD.

Oh, the Athena subs seem to hit pretty good, any comments?

If you want something to hit hard, I'd save up a bit more and look at the HSU STF-2 or the Adire Rava. I haven't heard the Tiny Mighty II, so I am not saying it isn't an option.

I don't know if you follow Craig's sub thread at Home Theater Spot. He is going to do a $300 sub comparison with Hsu STF-1 and Rocket UFW-10 and if there is interest an under $200 shootout the Tiny Mighty II and one of the BIC subs.

Chrislazarko, if somehow you aren't satisfy w/ the suggestions above... just head right ahead to DIY forum... You just can't beat it... build ur own...
