If everything is so perfect in Pleasantville, how is it possible that they bought a USED car?

Maybe she took it with her from the future. That is, she had it in her pocket before she got sucked into the TV.

So her clothes and hairstyle change, but she keeps anything she might have in her pocket. In a film about being sucked into a black and white sitcom world, that just don't make any sense!
