Connect Ethernet Cable to Which Component? (1 Viewer)

I'll be hard-wiring an Ethernet cable to the new video components (Panasonic TC-P54G25 HDTV and Panasonic DMP-BD65 Blu-Ray player connected via VieraLink), and each one could accept it. Left to my own devices, I'd connect to the TV, but ???. The Blu-Ray is just a PLAYER, it can't record anything.

In this case, does it matter?

Thanks,

George

Why not get a switch and connect both? Decent switch can be had for $20.

Given only one option I would choose the BD player. Many discs include internet content.

The players offer Netflix streaming, Amazon VOD and Pandora Radio. Also can use it for FW updates.

This newbie forum is a godsend — thanks for the replies. Both the TV and BD player will stream stuff, so I think I'll use have it at the TV mostly. However the firmware updates and disc web accessibility will definitely require switching from time to time.

Again, thanks

George
