NBC TV Series. Sadly this 16mm print for this short-lived series is deteriorating, The TV show stars Richard Denning, Herbert Rudley, Jerry Paris, Patricia Donahue, Gary Clarke and Margie Regan.
So nice to see a preserved 2 in. color videotape from 1961. Thankfully Dinah Shore had the insight to save many of her videotaped shows, otherwise NBC would have wiped it to use again and we would have been left with an inferior b/w kinescope of this show.
Very early appearance of Cliff Arquette's "Charley Weaver" character. Note that Dave Willock is the male lead of the famous Ann Miller/Stan Freberg Great American Soup commercial, as seen below.
Didn't realize that was Robert Young in the Sanka commercials. I guessed he changed with the times. Probably wouldn't have seen him serving coffee on Father Knows Best.
I've been watching this short lived series recently, one of my favorites after the fact. I didn't catch more than one during the original run but really got into it on the USA Network reruns. Fabulous series with a perfect cast. The Post/Carpenter theme is an earworm.
