I just got back from the island where it was shot. No, Wilson wasn't found.

Hollywood magic - did they show a making of on the bonus disc?
They obviously blanked out the adjacent islands on the wide shots - pretty impressive.

Great place for snorkling.

The DVD does go into quite a lot of detail of the CGI work. I find it most impressive, because the CGI was used to try and emulate reality, rather than create things that don't exist. I was shocked when they revealed that so many shots utilised CGI.

This is definitely one of those films where the CG was incredibly effective and for the most part invisible. The current 2-disc is very nice and worth a look.
