Buying ps2 games on ebay (1 Viewer)

Guys,

Are there any major caveats for buying ps2 games on ebay (piracy etc)? For instance searching for the GTA games brings up dozens of auctions starting at $0.01. Aside from possibly inflated shipping, what should I look for?

The most important thing to look at when buying games or anything else on eBay is the seller's feedback. You're usually safe with sellers with 99%+ positive feedback.

Check the description of the item's condition. If the condition isn't described, inquire with the seller before bidding.

Games from Asian sellers are more likely to pirated than games from U.S. sellers, though there are certainly legitimate Asian vendors and crooked American sellers.

Don't be concerned about auctions with starting bids of $0.01. Sellers frequently start bidding very low to get a cheaper listing fee, especially when they're confident their items will go for much more than that. I often do it myself.

If the seller has less than 10 feedback, I'll usually pass. Like DonaldB mentioned, stay away from foreign sellers, majority of the time they sell off pirated goods.

If you want the instructions and the original case, make sure the auction says so or ask the seller. You might end up w/ a former rental.

Other words I look for are "adult owned" or "adult handled."
