Brotherhood of the Wolf on PS2 (1 Viewer)

I have the 3-disc Canadian version of Brotherhood of the Wolf and disc one won't play on my PS2. I just get a black screen. It works on other players. Is this a known problem? Is there somewhere on the net that keeps a compatibility list?

On closer inspection, the disc sort of works. All three discs in the set work, but nothing draws except for whatever is highlighted in the menu and subtitles.

The disc works fine in my PC and Xbox. On my Mac, it doesn't work at all. Anyoen had problems with this title?

i have the exact opposite problem. My disc plays in my PS2 but not in my Toshiba 4700
