Anyone switch from Dish to Direct? (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking about switching from dish to direct in order to get HDNet. Has anyone made this switch? Can I use my dish network sats (I have the dish 500 and the 18") or will I have to start over from scratch?

Does direct have the same new subscriber deals on equipment to save money on start up cost? I think it was $250 off equipment as a new dish subscriber.

You can use your dishes if you don't have a Twin or Quad LNB on your Dish500. You will also have to buy a multi-switch. It may be cheaper to go to Blockbuster and get their deal. Just remember to tell them you will be signing up for the Spanish package (Para Todos). That way you will get the 18x24 inch dish.
