ok--i decided that from what i have read, the rp91 looks like one of the best for 480i--i got it for 299.00. i decided against the denon 1600 from a non-authorized dealer. hope this works ok!

i am considering a denon 900 for 137.00, but cructhfield has the rp91 for 299.00....is it a good unit? iss it worth the extra ucks? using it on a non-hdtv 32" panny tau. i have an rp56 for my mitsubishi 55809 hdtv. thanks!!

i see that i can get a bstock from dakmart (authorized dealer) for only 137.00. I will be using this on a 32" non-hdtv panny tau tv...what's the concensus? I am returning a jvc 55 due to HORRIBLE stuttering. opinions? thanks!

just as a follow up--davidynch.com promptly sent me a new replacement dvd, in a cd-style jewel box, inmpeccably wrapped. totally excellent service!

that' s good to hear, and consistene with what i thought would be a quality way of doing business. i'll wait to hear from them. heck, they shipped the dvd out of irvine, which is 45 minutes from me--maybe i could go exchange it personally and see if their shipping facility emits groans, rumbles...

blake--thanks for the reply--fwiw, i hear that EXACT same sound, even if i am receiving ota hdtv signals using my dish 6000 and 8vsb...i'm wondering if this effect will happen with fm stereo, which should not have this effect--i'll try that when i get home..do you still get that sound at all...

hi--i tried to get some info on this, so forgive the re-post... if i try to listen to tv, for example (dish 6000, w/toslink connection) using dpl2 or logic 7, i get nothing from the rears...if i put my ear up to the tweeter, i hear a sort of tweeting/buzzing sound, at a very low volume, but...

hi--i have a 520, and have set up my diva 4.1/c3/2.1 to speakers large...when i am listening to dpl/2 or logic 7, i can hardly hear the rear speakers at all...if i listen to 5 channel stereo, there they are, loud and clear! any ideas? thanks!

thanks for the thoughts--the hk outlet is in oxnard, at an outlet mall--they have hk and infinity stuff, and they said that the units have the full hk warranty--they will even let you open the box, examine the unit and they will test it for you then and there.

i will be using the diva 4.1/c3/2.1 setup with a mits 55809. i anticipate using video component switching due to bandwidth restrictions; the mits has 3 component inputs anyway :) i can get the 3802 for $758 from an online dealer, and a refurb 520 from the hk outlet here in socal for $599. is...

i posted on this issue yesterday--i really like the hk 520, but it only has 2 optical digital inputs, plus a coax, (not counting one on the front--ugh!)and i have 3 sources that are only optical (rp56 dvd, xbox and dish 6000) ditto for the outlaw 1050 anyone have any info re a toslink to...

the rp56 only has a toslink digital output--no coax :frowning:

i'm narrowing this down, and will probably use either the new onkyo 600 or the outlaw 1050 (any opinions there?) who has any thoughts as to how these speakers compare? the divas are slightly more $, with no subwoofer, but seem to be better looking (WAF). i'll be using them for 75% ht, 25%...
