Would you buy The Turning Point on Blu ray? Just curious as to how many people would care to have this film.

It's a dusty, pompous, stiff "prestige" drama. The only signs of life in it come from Leslie Browne.

I originally had it on VHS and it didn't make a huge impression. Got the DVD not terribly long ago and tried to persevere with it again - just couldn't. Its really odd because I normally enjoy ballet-themed films. This one just leaves me cold.

I remember Jeff (Tank McNamara) Millar's review in the Houston Chronicle back in 1977: "If you like ballet, there's a lot of dancing. If you don't like ballet, there's a lot of dancing."
