will 1080i look the same as 1080p on this set-up? (1 Viewer)

I am buying this 46" 1080p TV:

With the A2 HD-DVD player + HDMI cable, will my HD-DVDs look just as 1080p? Or will I be missing out?

An excellent choice. I have a similar (European) model from Samsung.

No, you won't miss anything. Your TV will show you the 1080 image exactly as intended. It doesn't matter how the horizontal lines of the image arrive at your TV: one after another (= p), or odd lines first, then even lines (= i). The resulting image will be the same.

You won't be disappointed!
