It seems every country but the US has this film on DVD. Is there some reason? This is one of the top films of all time, how can it be its not available here?
All I have is the old laserdisc from Fox.

Oh, it will come. I am hoping Paramount is doing major restoration for this classic, and that it will release it as one of its rare multi-disc special editions. They certainly know there's a huge demand out here for it. Possibly the last truly great Bogart film not on DVD.

And the only one for which he won a Best Actor Academy award. It does seem odd to not only have this missing but no definitive date for a release at this very late stage of the DVD technology. What would be nice is to know if there is a restoration underway and roughly when should we expect this 'oversight' to be rectified (the only collaboration between Bogart and Hepburne and a classic at that...). :frowning:
