Me, I'll watch "state of grace"
Would LOVE "the quiet man" if the current release didn't look so awful!

Maybe a little U2 concert warm-up!

:) Erin Go Bragh! My first ever St.Paddy's not in NYC! Dave MacAaron

"Leprechaun" 1 through 6. lol. Seriously though, I think I'll take a cue from Dave and have a U2 marathon: "Rattle & Hum", "Elevation 2001", "Live From Slane Castle" and "Vertigo '05". Yeah, that'll definitely work. :)

Nice one, Dave. It immediately popped into my head when I saw the title of this thread. This film is seriously underrated.

As for the music, Morricone may not be Irish, but he contributes one of his finest later scores. I love that whoever compiled the soundtrack--I'm guessing director Phil Joanou--had the good sense to include tunes by U2, Sinead O'Connor, and the Pogues.

Just looked at IMDb, and it says that Bill Pullman was originally cast as Frankie, but was then replaced by Ed Harris...that was a fortuitous turn of events. :D

I always crack up when Harris yells at Gary Oldman about John C. Reilly's character Stevie, "If I want Stevie's opinion, I'll dial his f***ing a****le!"

For me I'll just pop in the classic Warner Bros short "The Wearing of the Grin." O'Pat and O'Mike are classic Chuck Jones and Michael Maltese creations.

for me, just Boondock Saints is the only film to watch on St Paddy's Day.

"There was a firefight!"

DERVISH: LIVE AT JOHNNY FOX'S and (even though she's English) KATE RUSBY: LIVE AT LEEDS. I'll probably watch either STATE OF GRACE or THE MOLLY MAGUIRES too.

I've been meaning to check out Angela's Ashes, I guess today is a good a day as any. If I can find it at the local Hollywood Video today...
