I'm just back from a film festival screening of Bloody Sunday, Peter Greengrass' powerful verite disection of one of the darkest days in all the Troubles that have afflicted Northern Ireland, the slaying of 13 civil rights marchers by British paratroopers. The film reminded me Michael Winterbottom's Welcome to Sarajevo, another powerful drama about sectarian differences run amok. Wasn't that film one of the dreaded DIVX releases? Why hasn't it migrated to DVD as yet? I don't think I've ever seen mention of a potential release at all the usual DVD news sites. I hope this one hasn't fallen through the cracks.
