I am a university student and I live on campus. The university supplies free wifi to every student but I cannot get my Blu Ray player to connect to the network. The problem is that everytime I try to connect my player asks me for the password to the network, but in order to get on the network I need to use a password AND a username. There is no place to enter the username. I have tried using just my password or just my username but naturally this didn't work. Is there any way to get my blu-ray player to look for both username and password? Or is this simply not possible.

The player is a Samsung, model number BD-EM57C

Unfortunately, you will not be able to connect your Blu-ray player in that fashion to your school's wifi. And I don't think the school wants you too, either. If everyone on campus connected their smart TV, Blu-ray player, or smart device (Roku, Chromecast, etc) the network would likely come to a screeching halt.

Do you have an ethernet port in your dorm room? If so, you could get a cheap wireless router and connect that way.
