Toshiba announced last May '03 that this HD satellite receiver was to be shipped soon... Now it is almost 6 months later and there is now silence from Toshiba. Anyone out there in Forumland know what is going on at Toshiba?

"Update as of 10/28/03:

The DST-3100 is in the final stages of DirecTV testing.

The factory is ready for production and based on updates I've received we won't have much longer to wait. Thankfully closer to 2 weeks when the unit begins shipping."

I got tired of waitingfot Toshiba to deliver what they said they were "on the docks" last May. My dealer gave me a fantastic deal on the 3rd generation high defination Sat. receiver from Sony, the SATHD 300. It weighs about 2 lb. more tha the Toshiba would and runs only "luke warm"
