Does anyone know if Direct TV is coming out with a Tivo-HD combo box? I have a chance to pick up a Toshiba DST-3100 (after months of waiting) but will hold off if I can get a box that does HD and Tivo.
It was announced last year at the 2003 CES for a Nov. release. It was delayed to add dual tuner (both satellite and OTA) functionality. If you aren't on the pre-order list right now, you will have to wait until May or June to get one. The official release is in a few days. -Robert
DirecTV HR10-250 HD DVR From now on, all new DirecTV receivers will be sold under the DirecTV name. It was probably built in the same factory in Mexico as all of the other DirecTivo receivers. Everything you ever wanted to know about the new HD DirecTivo can be found here. -Robert
Looks like it will be shipping from online retailers within the next couple of weeks. I spoke w/ the guys at Circuit City yesterday and they said they will have it, but not until July. Peace, DM
