The Digital Bits is definitely reliable and their Sept. 5 update mentions it, too. However, it says it is coming from Sony or Sony for MGM. I'm hoping for an anamorphic widescreen version at the least. www.thedigitalbits.com

Probably too much to hope for the extended cut with the ring subplot...
If they go back to the original negative, it may well be the extended Class Ring version.

The video and version they air on TV have slight differences between another, and the bit where they zoom-in at the end looks more like a video zoom-in than that of a negative.

when Showtime was running this back in 2000, it was about 5 to 8 minutes longer,(subplot with nancy valen was longer too) but not sure if they will use this master for the DVD.

Every site has the runtime listed at 91 minutes, but that may not be correct, this early.

Not what I'm used to, but it's fine. Better than floating heads.

Yes, this is coming out on Tuesday November 15.

This is one of my favorite all time 80's movies.

I remember this movie from when I was a kid. I was about to order it but I was hesitant cause I didn't know if it would be widescreen. But now that I see it is, I will have to pick it up.

My copy came today.
It's the same cut that's been released on video. Whether or not it's the Theatrical cut, I have no idea.
The transfer is just OK. Nothing spectacular, as it's a bit soft. The best the film has looked on any home format? Most definitely.
Definitely worth the $10, especially for me.:D
Now, Sony...... fair is fair. First The Heavenly Kid, now where's The Legend Of Billie Jean? *AHEM* :)
