SVS PB-12Plus/2 and Velodyne EQ Box: at $1,800 is this the giant killer?

    Seems Veldoyne will be releasing the user friendly 8 band equalizer as a $500 stand-alone product soon. This is part of their premier DD line of subs.

    If one were to combine an SVS PB-12Plus/2 and the Velo EQ, I would venture to guess that this combo would be a huge performer with the ability to be "flat" in-room, from about 13 Hz on up.

    I would guess that such a combo would about equal the performance of a Velodyne DD-18 for about half the price.

    Perhaps Tom and Ron will get a hold of one of these EQ boxes and test it with some of their subs. Possibly even offer it as an accessory. A higher line EQ than the Rane and Art that they sell now.

    Convenience-wise, maybe. A BFD, being much cheaper, has more parameters and such.
