    Hi,
about a week ago I popped in my Superman 1 DVD, selected the audio only track and was greeted with an overture...no credits, just the score playing over a starfield. It was a good 4-5 minutes long. I pop in the disc a half an hour ago and I cannot find it for my life. Am I mad? Where is it? Now the film just starts right up at the litle sequence of the kid reading from the comic book before the credits.

You probably mis-took the menu for the overture.

You sure you're not confusing it with Star Trek - The Motion Picture? Superman - The Movie has never had an overture.
