Saw this again on TBS today and enjoyed it again - despite the endless commercials and TBS's bizarre obsession with turning every movie into a theme (Dinner & a Movie, Makeover & a Movie - who cares? Just show the damn movie and shut up). Lots of good laughs, hot girls (remember when Kirstie Alley used to be appealing?), a funny cameo by director Carl Reiner, a fun dog - teen movies have gone downhill since then. No, I didn't buy a minute of it (the teacher lets the underage class hottie move in with him? Please.) but as escapism, it works. Although Chainsaw doesn't know his favorite movie as well as he thinks - Texas Chainsaw Massacre came out in 1974 - he said 1973!

Yep, a guilty pleasure from way back for me as well. It was weird to see Courtney Thorn-Smith with meat on her bones back then.
