Subwoofer Recommendation (1 Viewer)

I am looking for a musical sub for a small room (12 x 15) to go with either a pair of NHT SuperZero's or Energy Take 2's in stereo mode. Any suggestions are appreciated. Rob

What is your budget Rob? I think that you should consider a small, sealed sub.

In the $400 range, I think that the Adire Rava is very fine indeed. For another $200, I just heard the Onix Rocket UFW-10 from AV123 demonstrated at Dallas. It is simply outstanding. The setup I heard had two UFW-10s, but the room was quite large. I would imagine that it would be enough for your room size depending on ceiling height and other considerations such as openings to other rooms.

The guys at AV123 thought that one would be enough for my use and my room is probably larger than yours, unless your ceiling is quite high. But I rarely listen at reference levels, so that will be a consideration as well.

If you've got $600, the SV Subs are definitely worth consideration.
