Glad to hear you're enjoying it.
I actually enjoy the repeating dialogue - I think its often witty, and its never really grated on me.
Part of the reason I loved Sports Night was that I felt it had amazingly witty dialogue and a genre-spanning range of invoked emotions. I've actually been going through the episodes myself and it amazes me that Sports Night still beats the pants of of 90% of what constitutes as network programming these days.
If anyone here wants to check out Sports Night without shelling out the money for the box set, I think its being rerun on Comedy Central at odd hours. It's definitely worth checking out - an aquired taste to be sure, but an enjoyable one for many people. :)

The secret to all the Sorkin shows is the dialogue. He's a very clever and capable writer of lines, and of full passages of exchanges. Both his shows, and also An American President, exhibit this strong ability.

I'm actually sorry that I missed the West Wing so far. I keep hearing good things about it, but hate to get into dramas late. I also hate to make a weekly commitment. I may just dive in though, especially with both Stockard Channing and Mary Louise Parker. I hope those DVDs are forthcoming.

An American President? The Michael Douglas film? I liked that one, but haven't bought it on DVD because I've been told the transfer is ugly. Thoughts?
