Silent Hill- Need Help! (1 Viewer)

Recently I picked up Silent Hill based on its popularity and all of those glowing reviews and I am impressed. However there are two things bothering me right now in the game. I am at the hospital right now, that inexplicable darkness is there and the staff is trying to kill me. Oh well, here are my questions:

I have all four plates for the door in the nurse's station, but I cannot get it open. Is there a certain pattern to placing them on the door or is there something else I need?

and

I have shotgun shells, but no shotgun! Where do you find it?
