show desktop icon (1 Viewer)

hey all -

in xp, there is that little icon in the quick launch toolbar that you can click to show the desktop.

i deleted it on my home pc, but use it all the time on my work pc. so, of course, now i want it back on my home pc.

i know i can just right-click the toolbar and "show desktop", but i want that little icon dang-nabbit!

I had this happen on a machine at work here. Drives me nuts not to have the button!! !!

this is another reason htf is possibly the best resource for just about anything. that worked perfectly!

Admittedly, I googled it up for you, but I did know exactly what string to search for, and recognized the solution (creation of the .scf file in notepad) right away, since I'd done it before.


Glad to help - I can't stand working on a PC without the button!
