Seperate sub with powered front towers??? (1 Viewer)

Just started getting my HT up and running and was wondering if I was losing anything by not having a separate sub since my fronts are Interlude IL60's. I am running 5.1 right now with IL36c center and IL10's on the rear. I am trying to fill a large area with sound, your basic great room, open floor plan style house. Would greatly appreciate any suggestions that you might have.

The short answer is yes (in mine and many others opinion, but not everyones). Any decent quality sub will outperform powered towers in bass reproduction. Do a search on powered towers and you'll get many hits where this point has been debated to death.
