If you want to get really, really angry and find out what Universal and Sony are offering their R2 customers in October, go to Amazon.co.uk and plug in Screen Goddess under dvd. Let's be realistic: it ain't going to happen here!

What is "4 Front Video"? Are those titles public domain in the UK or something?

4 Front Video was a budget VHS label owned by Polygram, who are now part of Universal Pictures UK.

If you think the Screen Goddess collections are bad, wait until you see what the company has lined up for the UK King Kong set...

And as Universal and Sony have a cosy relationship in the UK, they are, of course, a mixture of Universal and Columbia titles as detailed here at DVD Times.

I'm always slightly amused when folks in R1 rage at what's happening in other regions when 99% of the time (okay, slight exaggeration [IMG] ) R2 releases are inferior to their R1 counterparts - as JulianK says look at the R2 King Kong - here.

I appreciate that many of the 'Screen Goddess' titles are yet to be released in R1, but as sure as God made little green apples, you'll get 'em.
